Cellilux Glacial Mineral Gel:

To quote my previous article:

Cellilux Glacial Mineral Gel has been taking the Asian beauty scene by storm, especially in China, Singapore, and Japan. Their groundbreaking spa-style mask made from real British Colombian Colloidal Clay promises to penetrate into the deepest layers of your skin to draw out impurities, leaving you with fresh, radiant skin. The mask also boasts anti-aging properties and gentle exfoliation. Based on its ingredient list- 4,000 year old Canadia Clay, Deep Sea Glacial Mineral Water, Organic Acai Extract, Organic Green Tea, and the Iconic “Ion Factor”- it’s not hard to believe Cellilux may just pull it off. As you probably know, green tea, acai, and clay are all common mask ingredients. But what makes this mask stand out? What makes it so absolutely incredible that women across the world are snatching it off the shelves?

The Ion Factor.

There is no other mask like Cellilux in the entire world. Cellilux’s mask contains negatively charged ions, which attracts positive ions. This, in turn, removes dead skin, bacteria, and cleanses pores.

For those of you who are confused, (and for those that aren’t) Cellilux provided a simple chart explaining the interaction of the ions.

The  clay effectively absorbs the positively charged ions (in this case, the impurities), and draws them out from within the skin, leaving you fresh and radiant.

Cellilux, as you can see, is not just an ordinary mud mask. Yes, it’s green and comes in a jar, but that’s not all there is to it. It’s much, much more than just another store-brand facial.

jar

Right away, you can see that the packaging is neat and professional. It is in a jar and not in sheet form, but it’s not hard to apply and the jar itself is a good size.

expiration date

Each jar has the expiration date neatly printed on the bottom, that way there’s no chance of you using an expired product. The gel I received in November of 2o13 goes bad in June of 2015, which means this product has good shelf life. It won’t go bad after a few weeks like most mud masks do.

the jar itself

The product itself is certified by the Good Manufacturing Practice, and is completely safe for use. If you’ve ever gone shopping in public markets, you’ll know how important this is. Sometimes, products can be dodgy or made of substances harmful to the skin, such as parabens or other toxins. You shouldn’t put anything on your face if you have doubts. Thankfully, Cellilux clears up any doubts you may have by making it explicitly clear that their product is safe for usage.

wearing the mask

Mask application is ridiculously simple. You smooth it on with your fingers as you would any non sheet mask and allow time to dry. You then wash it off with water and seal your skin with a few sprays of cold water. Cold water helps to close up the pores, as does cold weather. This is why many Singaporean women have enlarged pores- it’s so hot outside that you sweat almost constantly. Cellilux is obviously aware of this, and capitalize on the cooling process. I can definitely say this is accurate. When I left SG for the US, my pores shrunk considerably. Smart Cellilux!

blackheads

As you can see from this disgusting close up on my blackheads, Cellilux is literally pulling the oil out of my skin. And I have some of the worst blackheads you will ever see… mine never go away. That is, until I tried Cellilux. My blackheads significantly diminished in a very short period of time. The mask brought the impurities in my skin to the surface, where I washed them away with water.

When you first apply Cellilux, you may notice its natural aroma. It can only be smelt within the jar, and is similar to the scent of Dead Sea Clay but much less salty. It has an almost “cool” smell, if that makes any sense (it doesn’t). It’s actually quite pleasant to smell, but the scent disappears right away.

Cellilux also has a cooling feeling. After a few minutes of application, your face will start to tingle. It’s not a painful feeling, and I find it quite cooling. It’s not unpleasant, and is probably when the “Ion Fact” activates.

What’s the final verdict???

This mask is amazing. Amazing. It draws out impurities so deep from within the skin that you would have never known they were there! I used Cellilux for 2+ weeks before writing this post, and I can definitely say that the longer you use it, the better!  After each usage, I could see a significant improvement in the quality of my skin. My KP, as addressed in my previous article, has improved so greatly in the past few weeks that it’s almost unbelievable. When I first used Cellilux, my left cheek looked like this:

kp01

A few weeks later? Bam!

my skin looks so much better

Look at the difference!!! If Cellilux can heal my genetic skin condition, then it can definitely heal acne or other blemishes. This is the best mask I’ve ever tried. 10/10
